Ms. Annette J. Campbell-White

Established the Kia Ora Foundation in 1997 to assist New Zealand
students in post graduate study in the fields of musical performance,
science and engineering.
Annette Campbell-White has been since 1986 the
Managing Partner of MedVenture Associates I to V, which are venture
partnerships investing primarily in early stage businesses in the
health care field. Previous experience in investment banking concerned
chiefly positions as securities analyst and General Partner of
Hambrecht & Quist. Ms. Campbell-White has a B.S. degree in
Chemical Engineering and M.S. degree, both from the University of Cape
Town, South Africa. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of
Cutera, Inc., as well as a number of privately held companies. Ms.
Campbell-White participates on the Boards of several performing arts
associations, including serving as Director of the San Francisco Opera
Association and Cal Performances, a major presenter of the performing
arts at the University of California, Berkeley. She is also a Director
of Mariinsky Theatre Trust, London.

Dr. Ruediger Naumann Etienne
 Dr.
Ruediger Naumann Etienne-Dr. Naumann is the owner and Managing Director
of Intertec Group, an investment company specializing in the medical
technology field. Intertec Group has supported implementation of new
growth strategies for companies such as Cardiac Science, Quinton
Cardiology, OEC Medical Systems, Laserscope and Diasonics. The
principal active engagement is Cardiac Science, Bothell, Washington
where Dr. Naumann is Vice Chairman of the Board.
Until November 1999, Dr. Naumann was the Chairman
of the Board of Salt Lake City based OEC Medical Systems (NYSE: OXE),
the world leader in fluoroscopic imaging for minimally invasive
surgery. He assumed the position in 1993. From February 1995 to May
1997 he was also Chief Executive and President of the company. During
his tenure as Chairman and CEO the market capitalization of OEC
increased by 700 %. On November 29,1999, the company was bought by
General Electric for $500 million. From December 1987 to July 1990 he
was President and Chief Operating Officer of Diasonics, Milpitas (NYSE:
DIA). From 1984 to 1987 he worked for Hambrecht & Quist, a San
Francisco based investment bank and from 1974 to 1984 he held various
management positions at Texas Instruments, Dallas.
Dr. Naumann holds a Ph.D. in International
Finance from the University of Michigan, a Master's Degree in
Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and did
undergraduate studies in business Administration at the Technical
University in Berlin, Germany.

Professor Bruce Ross
 Bruce Ross was born and
raised in Dunedin, New Zealand. He trained as an agricultural
economist, and took up his first professional position, as Assistant
Lecturer in Agricultural Economics at the University of Malaya, in
1963. He returned to Lincoln College, Canterbury, NZ in 1966 as a
Research Economist, where he developed a computable, input-output model
of the New Zealand economy, which became the analytical core of the
National Development Conference, 1968-72.
He Joined lecturing staff of Lincoln at beginning
of 1970 as Senior Lecturer, and became Professor of Agricultural
Economics at the end of 1970. 1983 appointed Head of Trade Analysis
Division, Agricultural Directorate, Organization for Economic
Co-operation and Development, Paris. Returned to Lincoln College as
Principal in 1985, and when Lincoln became an independent university in
1990, became the first Vice-Chancellor. In 1996 was appointed Director-
General of Agriculture, and when the Ministries of Agriculture and
Forestry were merged in 1998, became the Director-General of
Agriculture and Forestry. Chair of the OECD Committee for Agriculture,
1998 to 2001. Retired 2001.

Mr. Lindsay Taiaroa
 Lindsay Taiaroa is the
Executive Director of the New Zealand Vice Chancellors' Committee, the
national body representing the eight universities of New Zealand. He
has held this position since 1986. Lindsay is a graduate in Arts of the
University of Canterbury and in Public Policy of Victoria University of
Wellington. Lindsay is a trained secondary school teacher and in his
early career held positions in New Zealand and Canadian schools. His
administrative career included posts at the University of Auckland and
as Secretary of the former New Zealand Milk Board.
Currently he is also Secretary of the New Zealand
Universities Superannuation Scheme. His recreational activities are
mainly tennis and walking but he is a keen follower of rugby, cricket,
New Zealand Art, architecture and most forms of music. Lindsay is
married to Sally Edmonds who works in the Department of the Prime
Minister and Cabinet of the New Zealand Government.

Ms. Sarah Billinghurst
 Sarah Billinghurst is the
Assistant Manager, Artistic of the Metropolitan Opera. Her career in
opera administration started at the San Francisco Opera in 1972, when
she became the assistant to the Artistic Administrator. In 1982 she was
named Artistic Administrator, and in addition to her duties in that
position, she undertook numerous special projects including
co-productions with the Kirov Opera, producing concerts, recital and
special presentations sponsored by the San Francisco Opera.
Sarah moved to the Metropolitan Opera on August 1,
1994 and reports directly to General Manager, Joseph Volpe and Artistic
Director, James Levine. She is responsible for the running of the
artistic departments, presentations, media, recording and touring. The
artistic department is responsible for casting, conductors and new
productions. As head of the media department, Sarah oversees the radio
and television broadcasts and is involved in the current efforts to
preserve past broadcasts. She also organizes the Kirov Festivals at the
Metropolitan Opera, which have presented the Kirov Opera and the Kirov
Ballet.
Sarah has also organized all the tours of the
Metropolitan Opera in Japan and the MET Orchestra in Europe, within the
United States and the season at Carnegie Hall. The special events she
has organized include the James Levine 25th Anniversary Gala, Pension
Fund concerts, New Year’s eve celebrations at the Met and the
anniversary celebrations of celebrated artists such as Placido Domingo
and Luciano Pavarotti.
Sarah Billinghurst was born in Wanganui, New
Zealand and graduated from Victoria University with a degree in
political science. She is the mother of a son, Alexander and a
daughter, Rebecca.

Dame Malvina Major
 Dame Malvina Major, D.B.E. is
also a member of the Patricia Pratt Scholarship Selection Committee.
Dame Malvina is a world-renowned soprano who divides her time between
performing in concerts and operas nationally and internationally. Also
she is Professor in Voice at the University of Canterbury.
Dame Malvina is involved with promoting the Dame
Malvina Major Foundation and teaching the students. This foundation was
established in 1991 and supports education and performance
opportunities for talented young New Zealanders with promising musical
careers. The Foundation is currently working with the NBR New Zealand
Opera PWC and Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artists Programme.
Some of the roles Dame Malvina has performed
include Donna Anna and Donna Elvira in "Don Giovanni", Tatyanna in
"Yevgeny Onegin" (Russian) Micaela in "Carmen", Tosca in"Tosca",
Marguerita in "Faust", Freia in "Das Rheingold", Mimi and Musetta in
"La Boheme", Cio Cio San in "Madame Butterfly" and Rosalinde in "Die
Fliedermaus". In all Dame Malvina has sung in 30 opera roles, and has
an extensive concert repertoire.

Mr. David Bremner
 David Bremner was appointed
Principal Trombone of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra in 2002. Prior
to this appointment he was Principal Trombone of the Auckland
Philharmonia.
Born in New Plymouth, David is a past winner of
the Junior and Open Champion of Champions’ Solo competition at the NZ
Brass Band National Contest, and was a member of the 2003 and 2005
National Band of NZ. He was awarded 3rd place in the NZ Young Musicians
Competition, performing two concertos with the NZSO, and was a finalist
in the Gisborne Concerto Competition.
He has a Bachelor of Music degree with first class
Honors from Victoria University (1994-97) studying with Marc Taddei,
and a Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of
Music (1998-00), studying with Mark Lawrence.
He was awarded the Patricia Pratt Scholarship to
study in the US, and while there he won the Shenson Young Musicians
Competition, and performed as soloist with the San Francisco
Conservatory Orchestra. David was the guest soloist with the National
Youth Brass Band of NZ on their tour of the UK and USA in April 2003.
He has performed with the San Francisco Symphony
Orchestra, Bay Brass Ensemble, and recorded with Crowded House. David
is a founding member of Bonanza Trombone Quartet, NZ Brass, and
performs regularly with Stroma. David is an Artist Teacher at Victoria
University, and is also Director of Education for Brass Bands New
Zealand.

Mr. Jonathan Lemalu
 A New Zealand born Samoan,
Jonathan Lemalu graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University
of Otago, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Opera (distinction)
from the Royal College of Music, London, in 2002, winning the Gold
Medal. Recent engagements include concert and opera with the London
Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, New York
Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Academy of Ancient Music, under
conductors such as Rattle, Haitink, Colin Davis, Andrew Davis, Zubin
Mehta, Pappano, Marriner, MacKerras, Dutoit, Jurowski, Elder and
Conlon,
Opera roles include title roles in Figaro, Gianni
Schicchi and Saul, Papageno/Die Zauberflote, Leporello and Masetto/Don
Giovanni, Nettuno/Idomeneo, Samuel/Saul, Jack Wallace/Fanciulla del
West, Bartolo and Antonio/Le nozze di Figaro, Bartolo and Basilio/Il
Barbiere di Siviglia, Colline/La Boheme, Argante/Rinaldo, Bottom/A
Midsummer Night’s Dream. Jonathan has worked at English National Opera,
Glyndebourne Festival Opera, The Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opera
Australia, Bayersiche Staatsoper in Munich, The Lyric Opera of Chicago
and the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
As a recitalist, Jonathan has sung throughout
Europe, Canada, North America and Australasia, including the Edinburgh,
Tanglewood, Ravinia, Schubertiade and Munich Festivals and the Wigmore
Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York. An exclusive EMI
recording artist, his debut recital disc won the 2002 Gramophone
Magazine Debut Artist of the Year.
